This beautiful hand pierced floral filigree mounting from the Art Deco period features a 8 x 6.3 mm oval synthetic (lab grown) ruby. The ruby has an interesting cut with a curved flat unfaceted crown (top) and faceted pavilion (bottom). The ring tapers from 6.6 mm to .7 mm at the bottom of the shank. Size 5.75. Good vintage condition.
